Step-by-Step Guide to Mastering the Cat Eye
Step 1: Prep Your Eyelids
Start with a clean, dry surface. Make sure to add a primer to help the liner stay put and glide on smoothly.
Step 2. Map Out Your Wing
Imagine an invisible line from the outer corner of your eye towards the end of your eyebrow OR (use a business card) This is the angle you want for your wing direction. And this will keep both sides even. (That is if your brow ends are.)
Pro tip: If you struggle to keep the angle steady, lightly hold a clean business card against the outer edge of your eye for guidance.
Step 3. Draw the Wing
Using the Revlon ColorStay Liquid Eyeliner, draw a small line outward from the outer corner of your eye. This will be the bottom edge of your wing.
Start small-it’s easier to build up the drama than remove it at first attempt.
Step 4: Connect and Fill
From the tip of your wing, draw a line back toward the middle of your eyelid, forming a triangle shape. Fill it carefully.
Then, continue lining the lash line toward the inner corner, making the line thinner as your move inward.
Step 5: Amplify with Lashes
To really make your eyes pop, apply the ultra-light Ardell Naked Lash 420. They add natural-looking volume without overpowering the liner work.
Use tweezers for precision and a flexible lash glue for all-day comfort.
